Jane Kiernan CONTINUED

​Kiernan joined the Endologix, Inc. Board of Directors in March 2020 and serves on the Nominating and Compliance Committee and the Audit Committee. Endologix is singularly focused on providing innovative, minimally invasive technologies for aortic disorders. Axonics Modulation Technologies, Inc. Board of Directors in April 2019 and serves on the Audit Committee.  Axonics, based in Irvine, CA, is focused on development and commercialization of a novel implantable SNM system for patients with urinary and bowel dysfunction.  In 2006, she was selected to serve on the board of directors of American Medical Systems (NASDAQ: AMMD), a Minneapolis-based medical device company. She was Chair, Nominating & Governance Committee from 2008 to 2010, and Chair, Audit Committee from 2009 to 2011. American Medical Systems was acquired in 2011 by Endo Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ENDP) for $30 per share, or $2.9 Billion.


Most recently, Ms. Kiernan is a Co-founder of K2 Biotechnology Ventures, engaged in developing and commercializing portfolios of university and medical center innovations in partnership with venture capital, health care corporations and philanthropic health care foundation partners.   In 2010, a private equity firm hired Ms. Kiernan to be CEO and President of Salter Labs, a manufacturer with about 1,000 employees which produces specialty respiratory, airway management and anesthesia single-use, disposable products for hospitals, home, and other patient-care facilities. Her role was to create and execute a strategy to double the size of Salter Labs by recruiting a talented team, building a portfolio of specialty products, and establishing an efficient, scalable platform.

From 2001 – 2010, she held executive and general management positions with global P&L responsibility for as much as $1.5 billion with Baxter Healthcare Corporation.  As the general manager of Baxter global IV Therapies, Ms. Kiernan and team led the repositioning for growth of a $1.5 billion global parenteral nutrition and IV fluid therapy business achieved by building a portfolio of new intravenous products for adult and pediatric patients, expanding geographically and establishing a joint venture in China.   Prior to 2001, she succeeded in corporate and line management roles in finance, strategy, marketing, and operations with both Baxter Corporation and Allegiance Healthcare Corporation.

As a community leader, recently, Ms. Kiernan served on the Board of Directors for Ryan Banks Academy, which will be the first urban boarding school in Chicago established to provide the launching pad to lift students out of poverty and into the next generation of leaders, and she served as Committee Chair and on the board of directors of the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. In addition, she is a past-President of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), Chicago Chapter.

Ms. Kiernan holds a Bachelor’s degree in business from Southern Methodist University and she lives in the Chicago area.
